I've had the above issues with both carbureted bikes and FI bikes.
Some will say that it washes the grease out of the lower steering stem bearing, I've never had this problem but I guess if you drop your bike a lot this could happen. Take that hose off and just run the hose ,your choice someplace away from the exhaust towards the ground or through the steering stem to vent to the front fender.
